In what is undoubtedly the biggest fixture in the Zimbabwean calendar, Highlanders braces for a tough encounter against Harare giants, Dynamos in a must win fixture for both clubs.

Bosso head coach, Erol Akbay is putting on a brave face ahead of the encounter.

After finally breaking the jinx of failing to beat the Glamour Boys in a league match since 2006 last year with a double, Bosso’s Akbay has described the encounter as very important.

Since taking over at Tshilamoya, Akbay managed to beat Dynamos 2-nil in the capital before a 2-1 victory at Barbourfields Stadium.

Sunday’s encounter will be interesting in that Rodrick Mutuma, who would terrorise Bosso in the blue and white strip at Emagumeni will this time be on the opposite end versus his former pay masters and Akbay cannot wait to see how the encounter will play out.

Bosso fans will be expectant of a good result with news of the possibility of unleashing of the club’s foreign contingent that was yet to don the black and white colours.

Despite having lost to Dynamos already this year in the Uhuru final through penalties, Akbay is not reading much into the DeMbare’s potency this year when compared to the side he cruised past last year.

It is hoped that the match will be able to live up to the yesteryear billing in terms of performance and attendance.

It will also come as sweet news to the fans that Highlanders has decided against hiking the gate charges for the fixture as has been the norm when big matches take place.
