hands in cuffs.jpgA 30-year old man, Maxwell Nyabadza has pleaded guilty to charges of impersonation and kidnapping.

The state alleges that on November 3 this year, Nyabadza together with three accomplices who are still at large, extorted an air-time vendor of cash after identifying themselves as police officers.

It is further alleged that the four threatened the complainant saying they would send him to jail if he does not comply with their demands.

They allegedly forced him into their vehicle and drove around Marlborough until he gave them $200.

The accused are alleged to have called the accused demanding more money and a trap was set leading to their arrest.
