housing cooperatives.jpgThe Anti-Corruption Commission is investigating a case of two Harare women who allegedly swindled home-seekers of their hard earned cash by selling stands belonging to a housing cooperative in Mufakose.
Hilda Ruzani and Rose Chakupira are alleged to have illegally sold 26 stands belonging to a housing cooperative in Mufakose.

The two are alleged to have been running a parallel housing cooperative and masquerading the leaders of the cooperative without the knowledge of other members.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Commission is investigating several other housing cooperatives which are alleged to have been selling stands to desperate home seekers without the knowledge of other members.

Housing cooperatives were formed to ease accommodation problems for low income earners; however the surfacing of fraudulent activities amongst housing cooperatives will further worsen accommodation problems to those who are being swindled of life time servings.
