Premier Soccer League club Black Rhinos on Thursday received a timely boost from local life assurance and funeral insurance company, Doves, which donated a playing kit, warm-up kit and T-shirts.

The donation is part of a sponsorship package for 2017.

Black Rhinos secretary general Lieutenant Colonel Camble Sithole said they were grateful for the sponsorship which will spur the team to do well.

Doves chief executive officer Dr Talent Maziwisa said the sponsorship is part of his organisation’s corporate social responsibility since they derive a lot of business from the Zimbabwe National Army and government.

The PSL returnees, Black Rhinos, are doing well under the guidance of former player Stanford “Stix” Mtizwa and are among the front runners for the premiership title this season.

The team has a healthy mix of experience and youth, six of whom are all under the age of 20.
