women soccer.jpgBlack Rhinos Queens continued with their trailblazing run in the Women’s Football National League with a resounding 8-nil win over Mutare side, Faith Drive, during a weekend that saw Cyclone, New Orleans and Cosa also securing wins.

The win ensured Rhinos Queens consolidated top spot on the standings with 3 games before the curtain comes down on the season.

For Faith Drive it was yet another disappointing showing as they’re still winless after 14 matches in which they’ve amassed just one point.

At Chikurubi, Flame Lily and Cyclone played to a 5 goal thriller in a pulsating encounter.

Maximum points however went the way of Cyclone who secured a hard fought 3-2 victory to maintain 5thposition on the log.

Flame Lily on the other hand remain in 7th place. Both teams are however out of contentions for the title.

Guruve side Cosa battled to a 3-2 win over Masvingo, who are finding the going tough in the league and are currently second from bottom on the standings.

In Gweru, a solitary goal by New Orleans of Bulawayo secured a narrow one nil win over home side, Chipembere.

With just three matches before the season comes to a close, Black Rhinos Queens are dictating the pace at the summit of the standings

with 37 points from 15 matches.

Inline are in hot pursuit after ammasing 31 points from 14 matches.  Mufakose Queens, New Orleans and Cyclone complete the top five.

The bottom 5 comprises Cosa Guruve who occupy 6th position with 16 points from 13 matches. Flame Lily are 4 points behind, while Chipembere are 3rd from bottom after amassing 7 points from 13 matches.
