Black Rhinos Queens beat Conduit Soccer Academy 8-0 with former Mighty Warriors striker Kudakwashe Basopo scoring a hat-trick at the 2 Brigade headquarters despite the army side missing six other players who are in camp with the Mighty Warriors.

The win means the army side maintained their unbeaten run in a Zimbabwe Women’s Football Soccer League (ZWSL).

Despite not having the likes of Lynette Mutokuto, Mavis Chirandu, Rutendo Makore, Felistas Muzongondi and Talent Mandaza in their squad, Black Rhinos Queens still managed to extend their unbeaten run.

The team’s midfielder Sibonginkosi Nleya and Daisy Kaitano who together with Basopo who were overlooked for national duty weighed in with a brace each while Francisca Tsikwa scored a goal.

In another weekend fixture ZRP Queens lost to Weerams 3-1at Morris Depot.

Samantha Peter, Rumbidzai Kavanda and Barbara Soko scored for Weerams.

Several matches including Correctional Services Queens against Midlands State University, Blue Swallows versus ZRP Harare Queens, Hearts of Oak versus Auckland, Herentals Queens and Cyclone Stars, Harare City Queens versus Faith Drive and Borrow Jets versus Zvishavane Pirates were rescheduled.

The Mighty Warriors involvement in the senior women’s COSAFA tournament in South Africa from the 12th to the 22nd of this month could see a disruption of matches as teams opted to postpone matches due to the absence of key players on national duty.
