Army side Black Rhinos Football Club has officially received the $80 000 sponsorship package from local mobile telecommunications firm NetOne after the unveiling of the sponsorship package last week.

$20 000 will go towards kit and training equipment with the remaining $60 000 catering for allowances, camping and bonuses.

Receiving the cheque Chief of Staff Quarter Master Staff Major General Hlanganani Dube said the boost will go a long way in making the team run its business in a more professional way.

“We are happy for such a sponsorship as we are giants of local football despite being relegated most times we always find our way back,” he said.

NetOne CEO Mr Lazarus Muchenje said the sponsorship cements the relationship that NetOne has with the Zimbabwe National Army.

“We have a long relationship existing between the army and NetOne,” he said.

Black Rhinos becomes the fourth team being sponsored by NetOne after Dynamos, Highlanders and Caps United.
