Black Rhinos have begun preparations for the 2019 premiership season with head coach Hebert Maruwa setting a target of a top 5 finish this year.

Finishing in the top 8 was an achievement for Black Rhinos who finished in 7th place in the 2018 season.

Rhinos have been on a signing spree in the off-season with Gift Saunyama, Moses Demera, Marvelous Chikumba, Andrew Tandi and Francesco Zekumbawire among players to join the army side.

Given the transfer activity, head coach Maruwa is bullish of improvement.

Black Rhinos captain Bruce Homora is also hopeful the army men will build on a 7th place finish in 2018.

With the PSL on Friday confirming action will begin at the end of March, the army men will be looking to make full use of the coming month as they gear up for the 2019 season.
