bishop climate.jpgBishop Climate Irungu of The Kingdom Church in London has paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Cde Walter Mzembi, at his Zimbabwe Tourism Authority offices in Harare.
Bishop Irungu, who is of Kenyan descent, arrived in the country early this month.

Speaking during his meeting with Cde Mzembi, the Bishop hailed the hospitality of the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority and Zimbabweans in general.

He said he has seen a different picture of Zimbabwe, a country that is beautiful and has wonderful people – the opposite of the image created by the West about the country.

“We received commendable hospitality from the ZTA and Zimbabwe is a beautiful country with wonderful people,” he said.

Minister Mzembi called upon all Zimbabweans in the diaspora to project a positive image of their country and invest back home instead of being at the forefront of giving their country bad publicity.

He also commended Zimbabweans in the diaspora who have distinguished themselves in the host nations in through their skill, intelligence and dedication to work.

He said: “Zimbabweans should be the ones giving a positive picture about their country instead of the bad publicity they parade on the internet and other hostile media. Zimbabweans are a brand to their host nations.”

Bishop Irungu is visiting Zimbabwe at the invitation of ZIMPRIDE, an organisation that seeks to cultivate a spirit of love and patriotism for the nation and to raise Zimbabweans who are always proud to identify with their country.
