Warriors Captain Benjani Mwaruwari and Tinashe Nengomasha are the notable casualties following their exclusion from the team.

The failure to get a club has cost Mwaruwari his place in the national team with Coach Norman Mapeza omitting him together with Tinashe Nengomasha in the provisional squad.

The local based players announced by the Zimbabwe Football Association’s board member responsible for competitions, Benedict Moyo features goalkeepers Washington Arubi, Tafadzwa Dube, and Maxwell Nyamupanengu.

Defenders are Guthrie Zhokinyu, Daniel Vheremu, Gilbert Banda, Gilbert Mapemba, Zepheniah Ngodzo, Nyasha Mukumbi, Qadr Amini and Jonathan Kapenya.

Midfielders are Ashley Rambanepasi, Willard Katsande, Eric Mudzingwa, Benjamin Marere, Richard Mteki, Bekimpilo Ncube, Ali Sadiki and Allan Gahadzikwa while strikers drawn from the domestic premiership are Norman Maroto, Evans Gwekwerere, Charles Sibanda, and Cuthbert Malajila.

Foreign based players called into the Warriors squad are Method Mwanjali, Thomas Sweswe, Noel Kaseke, Onismo Bhasera, Costa Nhamoinesu, Justice Majabvi, Lionel Mutizwa, Quincy Antipas, Clemence Matawu, Knowledge Musona, Edward Sadomba, Tafadzwa Rusike and Nyasha Mushekwi.
