The Zanu PF candidate in the National Assembly for Beitbridge East Cde Albert Nguluvhe says the state of roads in the area is a serious impediment to social and economic progress.
The state of roads in places such as Makombe, Chasvingo, Tshabhili and many others is far from pleasing.
Cde Nguluvhe said the poor state of roads is a matter which requires urgent attention.
He said if elected in to office he will lobby for the introduction of Zupco buses to provide services in the area.
The recent campaigns by the ruling party candidate have seen villagers coming forward to present their concerns.
Most aspiring candidates have spoken about the need to build more clinics and schools and to address transport challenges.
