The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) has made a passionate plea to individuals and corporates to be tax compliant to enable the country to meet its financial obligations as well as the socio-economic development of the nation.

Speaking at the Business Excellence Forum, an event organised by a local church, ZIMRA Commissioner, Mr Happias Kuzvinzwa called on Zimbabweans to participate in building the nation through paying taxes as the current government has shown the will to put the money into good use for the betterment of the country

Event organiser, Mr Albert Muparuri said even the church can take a cue from the Bible which advocates for the honouring taxes, adding that it is imperative that everyone be compliant to the country’s tax laws.

The ZIMRA Commissioner also reiterated that corruption should not be tolerated at all levels and called on businesses to make sure that they regularise their operations and follow tax requirements of the country.
