Commander Zimbabwe National Army Lieutenant General Philip Valerio Sibanda says the country’s paratroopers should be well prepared to defend the nation at all times.

Lieutenant General Sibanda said this during a pass-out parade for some 24 defence forces members who were presented with certificates and wings after undergoing a four week training course at Inkomo Barracks today.

The 5 officers and 19 non-commissioned members who graduated at Inkomo Barracks were drawn from the three special forces constituting the Parachute regiment, Commando regiment and Zimbabwe special air service.

The ZNA Commander said the country’s paratroopers should be well prepared to defend the nation, must maintain discipline and keep up with modern military trends.

The course consisted of members who are going to represent Zimbabwe Defence Forces during the special forces ‘ex-Matumawe’ to be conducted in Tanzania in August this year.
