Youths have been urged to be innovative and adopt a predatory approach to business if they are to be a factor in the national economy.

In a breakfast meeting hosted by the Global Shapers Community that aims at unleashing the potential of young people in business, youths were called upon to focus on creating employment instead of job hunting after finishing university studies.

Banker, Patience Phiri said the reason why youths are not employed is because the industry is ever evolving, hence young people need to place themselves in a position of acquiring knowledge of how to run their own businesses and create employment.

Labour law expert Mr Davis Sibanda further advised youths not to wait for the government to create jobs for them.

He challenged them to be innovative and set high goals for themselves by incorporating expertise acquired at universities.

The panellists further stated that there is need for a national goal approach by youths if they are to be a factor in the Zimbabwean economy.
