Zimbabwean motor racing sensation Axcil Jefferies has been rewarded for an impressing outing in the Middle East by signing a contract which will see him competing in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo European championship.
The European championship will be a much bigger field with up to 50 cars on the grid.
Jefferies will now have just over a month to prepare for the European championship which kicks off on the 3rd of April with a race at the Monza Circuit in Italy.
After powering to victory in the Super Trofeo Middle East championship, Jefferies will face tough opposition in Europe where the likes of Danish driver Dennis Lind will be looking to hold on to the European crown after coming out tops in the eighth edition of the Super Trofeo European championship.
Despite stiff competition Jefferies will, however, be looking to again hog the limelight after impressive performances in the Middle East.
Breukers and Jefferies won the Middle East championship in the pro-class after accumulating nine points ahead of 19-year-old German, Carrie Schreiner and Richard Goddard of Australia.
Jefferies’ win in the Middle East reignited hope of attaining a childhood dream of one day becoming a Formula 1 driver.
