More than ten musicians visited inmates at the Chikurubi Maximum Prisons ahead of the Prisons Correctional Services Day commemorations to be held on the 14th of this month.

The prisons family week has set the stage for the Prisons Correctional Services Day commemorations set for this Saturday.

The musicians who included Sulumani Chimbetu, Biggie Tembo Jnr, Kapfupi, among others also visited inmates at Chikurubi and had a chance to mingle with them in a special family set up.

Acappella music and theatrical performances proved lighter moments giving smiles to those behind the high walls of Chikurubi.

Correctional Services Day commemorations are held every year on the 14th of October.

This year the day will feature Sulumani Chimbetu, Biggy Tembo Junior, actor Freddie Manjalima a.k.a Kapfupi, actress Kesiah Magosha popularly known as Muchaneta, Romeo Gasa, Franco Slomo and Guspy Warrior.
