Musicians who thronged the Giant National Sports Stadium for the inauguration of President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa are optimistic the political change will bring them fortunes.
Music characterised the inauguration of Zimbabwe’s new President Cde Mnangagwa with the man of the moment Jah Prayzah leading from the front.
Jah Prayzah said as an artist he is happy with the way his latest album “Kutonga Kwaro” has been received and has been used for the celebrations with Mutare based Joshua Sacco saying the coming in of a new leader will improve the music industry in Zimbabwe.
Baba Mechanic Manyeruke was among those who thronged the Giant National Sports Stadium and dedicated one of his songs to the event while Reverend Togarepi Chivaviro also took one of his songs and offered it for the day.
The atmosphere, the joy and happiness all spelt out the optimism that has suddenly gripped the nation for a better Zimbabwe.
