The solutions to the problems society is facing can sometimes be found in art.
The image some people have of artists is of individuals whose works are hard to interpret, especially abstract pieces.
For an artist and Chinhoyi University of Technology student, Ms Diana Chafansa, art can indeed solve some of the problems that society is grappling with.
Ms Chafansa held a solo exhibition at Court Auld Theatre in Mutare with her masterpiece being a combination of a chair and desk, expected to ease the worries of early childhood development learners.
The guest of honour at the exhibition, Ms Rumbidzai Zinyuke said ‘art is a creative industry that is also critical in identifying us as uniquely Zimbabwean.’
The country’s unique artefacts as well as artistic works have proved to be popular with tourists with many of them finding their way to markets outside the country.
