A teacher at Mt Selinda High School in Chipinge sustained serious injuries after he was attacked by a suspected armed robber.

Mr Peter Hluyo, a computers teacher at is admitted at Chipinge General Hospital after sustaining serious injuries on his head and on both his arms.

Mr Hluyo said he was attacked by an armed robber at his residence on Monday.

The ZBC News crew later visited his place at Mount Selinda and blood stains were all over, proof enough that the encounter was life threatening.

It was however Mr Hluyo’s friend and fellow teacher, Mr Gerald Makopa who took him to the hospital for immediate treatment.

The case has since been reported to the police and Officer Commanding Chipinge District Chief Superintendent Trutworth Makunike said police are already on the ground investigating the case.
