The Zimbabwe Anti-corruption Commission has been accused of complacency and for failing to effectively discharge its duties as it has not made any convictions since it was established.
Constitutional Law expert, Professor Lovemore Madhuku said the commission is concentrating on small matters yet there are some high-ranking people engaged in rampant acts of corruption.
Responding to allegations of incompetence, chairman of the commission, Denford Chirindo said the accusations are unfounded as they are carrying out their mandate without fear or favour.
The commission is tasked with combating corruption, theft, misappropriation of funds and abuse of power in both the public and private sectors
However, people who spoke to ZBC News sat the Zimbabwe Anti-corruption Commission which is expected to enhance integrity and accountability in organisations by stamping out corruption is a toothless dog.
