parliament.jpgPolitical analysts have condemned actions by MDC-T senators for causing the adjournment of the senate to February next year due to their rowdy behavior.

This has resulted in the intervention by the Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defense Forces, President Robert Mugabe, to recall the upper house legislators to do their usual business between the 7th and the 17th of this month and to discuss the 2011 budget.

Political analyst, Stephen Chidawanyika likened the behavior of the MDC-T senators to that of school children, who always need an elder to guide them.

Legal expert, Advocate Aston Musunga said the decision by the senators to defy a directive by the President to reconvene senate business is illegal, adding that it will  leave the Head of State with only one option: to  dissolve parliament and call for early elections in accordance with the constitution.

The senators were protesting against the reappointment of governors and reassignment of ambassadors.
