First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa follows proceedings at High-Level Meeting on Breast and Cervical Cancer in Africa on the sidelines of the General Assembly Debate in New York

The First Lady Amai Auxilia Mnangagwa on Wednesday afternoon attended a High-Level Meeting on Breast and Cervical Cancer in Africa on the sidelines of the General Assembly Debate in New York.

The High-Level discussion was organised by the Organisation of African First Ladies.

Rwandan President Mr Paul Kagame gave a key note address during the panel discussion which focused on the role of policy to impact prevention early diagnosis cure and care of breast cancers.

Amai Mnangagwa, who is also Zimbabwe’s Health Ambassador, invited Roche Drugs to work with Zimbabwe’s medical sector for improvements in training of health professionals, facilitating availability of drugs, among other types of assistance.

The High-Level Meeting also discussed issues to do with mobilising resources for cancer in Africa, the role of public private sector investment and embracing innovation and digital technologies for better cancer outcomes in Africa.
