2017 paralympic games hosts Mashonaland Central has engaged high tempo as preparations for the national paralympic games set for the 7th to the 11th of this month in Bindura gather momentum.

The province has already engaged in road shows to raise awareness and create the hype associated with the magnitude of this national event.

All the country’s 10 provinces will be participating in sport codes like athletics for the amputees, athletics for the visually impaired, goal ball, netball for the deaf, foot for the deaf, 5-aside football for the intellectually challenged (high and low ability), wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis among others.

The chief executive officer for Mashonaland Central paralympic games Stanley Kasukuwere said although they are not getting the much needed support from the corporate world the province is ready for the games.

The province has started road shows to psych up the hype of the games in the province.

Kasukuwere says in order for these games to be successful there is need for the corporate world to donate towards the games.
