The stage is set for the women’s cricket regional qualifiers which begin in the capital tomorrow.

Captains of participating teams were at Harare Sports Club this Saturday giving highlights on what promises to be an exciting cricket competition.

With Zimbabwe set to begin their campaign with a clash against Mozambique at Old Hararians on Sunday (tomorrow), the Lady Chevrons captain Mary Anne Musonda is confident ahead of the start of the qualifiers.

Zimbabwe is banking on home support and Musonda urged fans to rally behind the team.

The other participating countries are equally hungry for success with Uganda hoping to reclaim a crown they won in Namibia.

The 9 participating teams will be battling for a place in the final given the two top sides stand to gain qualification for the global qualifiers which will be held in Scotland later this year.
