All is set for the inaugural open day of the Parliament of Zimbabwe slated for this Thursday to give an opportunity to members of the public to interface with legislators in relation to parliament business.

Speaker of the National Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda said the day will provide a platform for the public to understand the operations of both houses while also interacting with the legislators.

Advocate Mudenda said Parliament of Zimbabwe and the cabinet committee on legislation will accelerate the alignment of laws before the end of the 8th parliament.

Parliament of Zimbabwe is embarking on major reforms meant to transform its operations and will see more public hearings being conducted by various committees across the country seeking public involvement in legislative processes as required by the Constitution of Zimbabwe.
