A record number of teams are set to compete at the annual Easter Darts Tournament slated for Marondera High School from the 13th to the 18th of April.
38 teams have already registered for one of the biggest events on the Zimbabwean darts calendar.
There are 21 male teams and 17 ladies sides booked and National Darts Association of Zimbabwe President, Meynard Moyo said they are expecting a bigger event filled with intense competition in Marondera.
Mashonaland West Province will be hoping to maintain their dominance after winning last year’s edition.
David and Kudzanayi Nyemba will once again be carrying the hopes of Mashonaland West, which also boasts of Simon Mujuru in its ranks.
Justin Thomas of Midlands Province is another top player expected to grace the Easter darts tourney.
In the Women’s section, Harare will be one of the teams to look out for and will be led by Svodai Nyika.
Naomi Mangwiri of Midlands and Melody Gezana of Manicaland are the other top female players, who will be vying for honours.
