White Rhinos Cricket Club has stepped up preparations ahead of the invitational Matabeleland cricket tournament slated for Saturday and Sunday in Hwange.

The White Rhinos are set to leave for Hwange this Thursday ahead of the tournament to be held at Hwange Sports Club at the weekend.

The tournament will feature three teams – hosts Hwange, Victoria Falls and the Harare-based White Rhinos.

White Rhinos coach Lazarus Razau highlighted that preparations are going on well and is confident his charges will shine at the tournament.

Team captain Stanley Joe said he is aware of the tough task which lies ahead but promised to take responsibility that comes with being the leader of the team.

White Rhinos cricket team earned a ticket to the Matabeleland invitational tourney after winning the Vigne Cup 2nd League.
