All is now set for the two-day National Jibilika Dance Festival to be held in the capital this weekend.

More than 50 participants from various parts of the country are set to compete in this year’s 10th edition of the festival starting this Friday.

The festival promotes dance and other elements of youth culture and offers opportunities and a platform for youths to communicate through their preferred art forms.

Jibilika Dance Trust coordinator Nyaradzo Nhongonhema says the 10th anniversary will be a huge milestone.

This year’s theme is: ‘10 up’ and the event will see the hosting of Battle Rivalskool’ from France.

Dancers from Zimbabwe will be selected to participate at the international championships in Paris in December.

The thrust of the initiative is to stimulate dance as a means to empower, build capacity and develop talent whilst entertaining.
