Preparations to mark this year’s edition of the Heroes and Defence Forces Day commemorations in Harare are now at an advanced stage.
Speaking to the ZBC News this Friday (yesterday), Minister of State for Harare Metropolitan Province, Cde Mirriam Chikukwa said all is in place to mark this year’s edition of Heroes and Defence Forces’ Day celebrations.
“We meet again at this moment where we celebrate the lives of fallen heroes and heroines. We are all going to gather at the National Shrine on Monday the 13th and on Tuesday the 14th we are going to the National Sports Stadium,” she said.
Minister Chikukwa said all transport logistics are in place and they have availed 50 buses for Harare Province, 5 for Bulawayo and two for each of the other provinces.
“Passengers shall be picked from their usual pick up points with Harare starting from 6am,” she said.
Cde Chikukwa also urged members of the public to help each other with transport in cases where available buses become inadequate.
