All is set for the 17th edition of the Zimbabwe Tertiary Institutions Sports Union (ZTISU) 2017 games scheduled for 18th to 23rd July at Belvedere Technical Teachers College.
The games have 18 different sporting codes for the indoor and ball games.
These include basketball, chess, cricket, cars, football, golf, handball, hockey, karate, netball, pool, rugby, table tennis and volleyball.
ZTISU vice president, James Chivivi said the games are growing with each edition and urged students to respect and abide by the rules for the honour of the games, teams and country.
ZTISU consists of three branches, Technical Education Sports Association of Zimbabwe (TESAZ) consisting of polytechnics, Zimbabwe Teachers Colleges Sports Association (ZITCOSA) comprising all teachers colleges and Zimbabwe University Sports Association consisting of all the country’s universities.
The theme for this year’s is, “Embracing Health and Wellness in Tertiary Institutions Through Sport”.
