The strike by Air Zimbabwe pilots and cabin staff has entered the 8th day with the courts expected to give a ruling Friday on the legality of the industrial action.
ZBC News has it on good authority that the week long industrial action by pilots at Air Zimbabwe has spilled to the courts after the employees presented affidavits registering their concerns.
Contacted for comment, Air Zimbabwe Chairman Mr. Jonathan Kadzura said the ruling is expected on Friday.
He condemned the strike saying it is impacting negatively on the national airline.
The industrial action by pilots has been going on for a week with pilots calling for an increase in their salaries from about US$3 000 to US$12 000 dollars a month, a figure their employer argues is unaffordable considering the airline’s financial challenges.
