diplomats wives.jpgThe African Diplomatic Spouses’ Association in Zimbabwe have expressed their continued commitment to assisting the less privileged and vulnerable children through several programmes set up as part of celebrating the association’s 25 years of existence.

 

The African Diplomatic Spouses’ Association in Zimbabwe which on Friday night held a fundraising dinner towards the fulfillment of its current and on-going charity projects in the country expressed commitment to work with government in assisting vulnerable social groups.

 

African Diplomatic Spouses’ Association in Zimbabwe President Mrs. Lorrita Kabanje from Zambia said as part of celebrating the association’s silver jubilee, they are working on expanding their charity work in the country.

 

“We are happy to be in this country and tonight’s event is part of our on-going charity work to assist the vulnerable groups in the community and as we celebrate 25 years of our existence we are expressing our continued commitment to the charity work,” said Mrs Kabanje.

 

Speaking at the same occasion, City of Harare Mayor Muchadeyi Masunda expressed gratitude at the efforts by the association in caring for the less privileged members of society.

 

The occasion was attended by several diplomats in the country including the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Zimbabwe Ambassador Mwanananga Mwawampanga, government officials and representatives of the corporate world.

The African Diplomatic Spouses’ Association in Zimbabwe was founded in 1985 as a charitable, non profit making organisation and it comprises African Diplomats from various embassies and international organisations accredited to Zimbabwe.
