The Course consisted of six modules covering the following topics: organising an Olympic sport organisation, managing strategically, managing human resources, managing finance, managing marketing and organising a major sporting event.

The major thrust was for the participants to enhance their managerial capabilities and ultimately improve Olympic sport as a whole.

Three of the participants, Charles Nhemachena, Anna Mguni and Abigail Munikwa believe the course will have a significant bearing on the effective running of their organisations.

“It will benefit the SRC a great deal because ewe now know ho to plan strategically “said Mr. Nhemachena.

“It will help improving the way our association is run, and we benefitted through interfacing with the other participants,”added Mguni.

“This is a worthwhile course which will see national associations churning out effective administrators which will help in the way the organizations are managed,” said Munikwa.

Nineteen participants enrolled for the second edition of the Advanced Sports Management Course which is designed for the executive staff at the National Olympic Committee, members of National Federations and other bodies responsible for the development of Olympic sport.
