supa mandiwanziira.jpgThe Affirmative Action Group (AAG) has criticised government for inviting South African construction companies to build government flats.

AAG president, Supa Mandiwanzira said such a move is against the indigenisation and empowerment policy.

He castigated the hiring of the foreign companies at the expense of skilled and innovative local companies who have the capacity to participate in such projects.

Finance Minister Tendai Biti has however defended the move saying the South African companies have an advantage over local companies as they have the capacity to raise capital for the project.
