With the cold temperatures being experienced, it was a relief for patients and staff members of the Chitungwiza Central Hospital who received pairs of sheets and other goodies from women of the Chitungwiza east circuit Methodist Church in Zimbabwe.
Officially handing over the linen, MCZ Reverend Richman Ncube said it is always the church’s mandate to be the helping hand in community apart from offering other spiritual services to the people.
Reverend Kudzai Mupanhwa and other Methodist women encouraged women in Zimbabwe to mobilise resources to cater for the impoverished and other destitute children dumped at hospitals.
The chief executive officer of Chitungwiza Central Hospital, Dr Obadiah Moyo commended the gesture by the Methodist women saying more partners should chip in to curb the constraints imposed by the sanctions.
Dr Moyo also highlighted that they are looking forward to the best hospital services as they call upon more partners to partner the hospital.
