The November 2017 Advanced Level examination results are out.
The results show that female students outshone their male counterparts.
49 494 candidates registered and set for the A’ Level examinations ranging from one to six subjects attaining a 82.6 percent pass rate.
Of the 49 494 candidates who sat for their 2017 A’Level November examinations, 40 394 were from formal schools while private candidates were 9 100.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister Professor Paul Mavima said the nature of dedication the candidates had will help the country to go forward considering the fact that quite a number of students attained straight As doing 6 subjects despite their learning conditions.
Candidates who attained 30 points said only hard work and prayer got them the results.
The number of candidates who obtained grade E or better in one or more subjects was 39 874 translating into 86.6 percent pass rate.
Female candidates who wrote two or more subjects in 2017 were 18 137 and 1 122 passed translating to 89.6 pass rate in all the provinces.
Results will be due for collection as from tomorrow Friday the 19th of January.
