‘A healthy nation is a productive nation’.
This was the message from the Health Ambassador, the First Lady, Auxillia Mnangagwa when she toured stands belonging to institutions exhibiting health related products at the 2019 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show in Harare this Friday morning.
The First Lady toured health related institutions that include Premier Service Medical Aid Society, CIMAS, the Ministry of Health and Child Care and the Agricultural Produce Hall, among others.
After an appreciation of technological developments in the health sector, Amai Mnangagwa did not mince her words on the importance of technology and eating habits in improving wellness of the populace.
“I have come here to appreciate technological developments in the health sector and I am happy with the exhibitors who are participating,” Amai Mnangagwa said.
The Ministry of Health and Child Care representative, Dr Maxwell Hove, who accompanied the First Lady during the tour of the Ministry stand, applauded her continued support to the health sector.
“We have shown the First Lady all the critical areas in health and we are happy that she has a passion for health and wellness of every Zimbabwean,” said Dr Hove.
The unique aspect of the Ministry of Health and Child Care stand was a special nutrition garden established by the First Lady.
“This garden is a must have. It carries a number of nutritional vegetables and requires minimal water,” the First Lady said.
Some of the stands visited by the First Lady include the Tongaat Hullet, Tregers and Satewave, a company which manufactures solar products.
The agricultural show provides a platform for organisations to interact with the public, showcase their products, establish business linkages and identify investment opportunities.
