The Meteorological Services Department says the rains will continue with some areas receiving more than 100 millimetres.

Areas in Mashonaland and Manicaland are expected to receive a maximum of 142 millimetres.

Head weather services Meteorological Services Department Mr Tichaona Zinyemba said people should be on high alert for flash foods especially those in the low lying areas.

The rains which started last week have brought relief to crops after farmers had lost hope following the excessive heat which destroyed some crops.
