china-zim coroperation at shanghai expo.jpgManicaland Governor and Resident Minister, Ambassador Chris Mushowe has called for the strengthening of bi-lateral ties between Zimbabwe and China through increased trade and joint ventures.

Ambassador Chris Mushowe who was speaking after receiving a Chinese business delegation said there is need for China and Zimbabwe to continue strengthening bi-lateral relations. Ambassador Mushowe hailed China as a progressive nation and said the relationship between Hubei Province in China and Zimbabwe’s Manicaland Province will grow stronger.

The delegation accompanied by China’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr. Xin Shunkang had a chance to meet business people from Manicaland.


Head of the business delegation, Mr. Li Chunming, who is the senior advisor of Hubei Provincial government, said his province is more than prepared to increase business partnership with Zimbabwe particularly in Manicaland Province.

The visiting Chinese business delegation which comprises sectors such as Agriculture, Mining, Industry and Commerce and representatives from Hubei Province expressed interest in investing in various areas within the Manicaland Province.
