Fears of typhoid outbreak is looming in Kuwadzana Extension after burst sewer pipes have gone for more than two weeks unattended by the local authority posing a health hazard to the residents’.

A sorry state of affairs was witnessed by the zbc news crew when it visited the area and the angry citizens have expressed great disappointment with the failure by the city fathers to rectify the life threatening situation.

The residents noted the lack of urgency being displayed by council even when they have contributed money to ferry manpower from Kuwadzana council offices paints a disappointing work ethic.

City of Harare spokesperson Mr Michael Chideme who murmured his words when questioned about the council’s response time to solve problems ended up urging residents to continuously alert their district offices if they have any complaints.

The issue of improved service delivery has been a topical issue with the President Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa calling on all responsible authorities to action and work for the development of Zimbabwe.

However, the City of Harare’s 100 day plan is expected to bring about an improvement in the service delivery system.
