More than 80 families have been left homeless following evictions by the new owner of TN Golden Acturus Mine (Pvt) Ltd, formerly known as Metallon Gold company.
The affected families had their relatives fired from work at Acturas Mine in 2016.
The former workers said they were fired in 2016 after they staged a strike and have not been paid their salaries since then, hence their decision to stay put at the company’s residence.
Now that the company has been bought by Mr Tawanda Nyambirayi, the ex-workers nolonger have a place at the compounds.
The company had more than 700 workers whose families reside in three compounds where there is no electricity, safe water and ablution facilities.
