A Hwange man will spend the next six months behind bars after being found guilty of eight counts of theft.
Fungai Ngwenya (24) of Lwendulu Village in Hwange will face the music after he was convicted of theft by Magistrate Ms Barbara Phiri.
According to the state’s case outline, Ngwenya’s escapades saw him breaking into several vehicles in Hwange.
On the first count the accused smashed a car window and got away with items valued at $1 090.
He was however, not done as he went on to forcibly open another vehicle before stealing a jerry can and a battery valued at $1 700.
Nyathi went on to employ almost similar tactics to steal from other cars which eventually saw him being found guilty of 8 counts in total.
The total value of his illegal harvest was $6 755.
