Gospel fans of musician Reverend Togarepi Chivaviro who are based in South Africa, United Kingdom, Swaziland and Zimbabwe have handed over a wheelchair and groceries to six year old Kunashe Gava who is suffering from a condition known as hydrocephalus.
Music fans that came together through social media for a noble cause contributed to rescue Kunashe who is suffering from hydrocephalus caused by fluid accumulating in the brain.
Some of the symptoms include blared vision, memory loss and drowsiness.
Kunashe’s mother could not hide her joy as she narrated how her story started.
“The problem begun when doctors tried to drain the fluid in the brain which worsened her condition,” she said.
Bobby Chivaviro who represented Reverend Chivaviro said artists need to look at the plight of those in need.
“Reverend Chivaviro requested his funds to assist the young lady in cash and kind,” he said.
Mrs Blessing Njunga and Mrs Johana Hungwe concurred that it is everyone’s duty to look after the vulnerable in society.
Kunashe is a student at St Giles Rehabilitation Centre and for those who want to assist can contact Mrs Mhedzano on 0736 022 082.
