30 babies have so far benefited from the Free to Smile Foundation cleft lip and palate surgeries being undertaken by some visiting Zimbabwean doctors and nurses based in the USA.
Parents and guardians of beneficiaries were grateful to the foundation and the government for allowing the surgeries.
For the past week, doctors from America have been conducting the free cleft lip and palate surgeries at Mpilo Hospital in Bulawayo.
Free to Smile Foundation head of delegation, Normund Auzins said they are happy with the turnout of patience and the success rate so far.
Children with cleft lip and palate are often stigmatised by the society because of the deformities.
