politburo mtg.jpgThe 235th Ordinary Session of the ZANU-PF Politburo has met in Harare to discuss the progress of the inclusive government, the building of the national economy and the normalisation of relations between Zimbabwe and the European Union.



The meeting took place at a time when Zimbabwe is holding consultations throughout the country on the country’s new constitution.


The issue of food security in view of inadequate rains in the 2009-2010 season, was also under the meeting’s agenda, amid calls by farmers for timeous support and reliable electricity supply in their operations.


They also discussed preparations for this year’s People’s Conference in December.

The meeting, which was held at the party headquarters in Harare, will be followed by the 81st Session of the Central Committee at the same venue today at 2pm.


The Central Committee meeting will be the second for new members who were elected at the 5th National People’s Congress in December last year.

The National Consultative Assembly will also be held this week.
