87 balloons.jpgAll is on track for the successful hosting of this year’s 21st February Movement Celebrations to be held in Manicaland on the 25th of February.

Speaking to ZBC News, Zanu PF Secretary for the Youth League, who is also Chairman for the National Coordination Committee for the Movement, Cde Absalom Sikhosana said the thrust of this year’s celebrations is to assist young people to develop and grow into responsible citizens even after the leadership that is there today.

Cde Sikhosana said the celebrations will bring all youths together despite their political affiliation in a bid to make them understand the importance of safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty as well as its cultural values.

The 21st February Movement was established in 1986 as a welfare organisation for youths.

It seeks to inculcate young Zimbabweans with the principles and patriotism of its patron, Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe, who was born on that date in 1924.
