21 senior officers drawn from seven SADC member states graduated at the SADC Regional Peace Keeping Training Centre (RPTC) in Harare after successfully completing a two weeks integrated mission support course in peace support operations.

The training centre plays an important role in sustaining peace and security capacities at both regional and international level.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Namibian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Ms Balbina Daes Pienaar said peace should continue prevailing on the continent and the training of officers remains critical to prevent and resolve conflicts in the region and beyond.
