Adv Mudenda takes a swipe at opposition political parties

Speaker of the National Assembly Advocate Jacob Mudenda says opposition political parties have done nothing to initiate electoral laws reforms despite their last minute choruses towards the 30 July harmonised elections recently. Acturus shooting: Suspects remanded in custody

The three Acturus Mine security guards who are accused of shooting and seriously injuring gold panners at the mine on Sunday appeared at the Goromonzi Magistrates Court facing attempted murder charges. The three suspects Learnmore Matangira, 29, Ernest Kavhu, 39, and George Mahufa, 57, appeared before magistrate Seres Chakanyuka who remanded them in custody to the 18th of September. Zim commits to sustain regional peace

Zimbabwe has committed to working with other African states in the provision of peacekeeping for regional stability and integrity. Under the African Union vision for the continent, the sustenance of peace forms the main agenda to guarantee development and end poverty. Working with other SADC regional countries including Botswana and South Africa, Zimbabwe has made a commitment to continue supporting this agenda through participating in peacekeeping missions in warring zones as alluded by Zimbabwe Commander Defence Forces, General Phillip Valerio Sibanda during a meeting for the Combined Joint African Exercise CJAX at the Staff College. ZBC’s news producer/presenter, Patience Mahuku Hondo dies

The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) news producer and presenter, Mrs Patience Mahuku Hondo, has died. She was aged 39. Mahuku-Hondo, passed on yesterday in harare, after a short illness. She graduated with an Honours Degree in English and Communication Studies from the Midlands State University in 2004, before joining the ZBC News department on 01 December 2005, as a producer for television news. GMB urged to fast track buying of maize

Farmers in Chipinge have raised concern over delays being encountered in the delivery and uptake of grain at their local depot.  Long queues of trucks ferrying grain are now a common feature at the entrance of the Chipinge Grain Marketing Board (GMB) depot as farmers make frantic efforts to deliver their produce to the national granary ahead of commencement of the 2018/2019 season.
