Chief Mapanzure buried

The late Chief Mapanzure who died on Wednesday evening has been laid to rest at his homestead in the Mapanzure area near Zvishavane. Mourners who include top government officials joined the Mapanzure community at the burial of Chief Mapanzure. In his address at the burial, President of the Chief’ S Council Chief Fortune Charumbira said the Mapanzure family should remain united and celebrate the legacy left behind by a hero in traditional leadership. “The death of Chief Mapanzure should not bring sorry instead it should bring jubilation for the people of this area who voted for ED,” said Chief Charumbira. Chief mourner Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing Cde July Moyo said the death of Chief Mapanzure is a blow as he was a fountain of knowledge. A local non-governmental organisation (NGO) dealing with girl child protection Shamwari Yemwanasikana has expressed concern over the increase in cases of child abuse involving girls in some parts of Mashonaland East.
