Govt mobilises funds for grain payments

The government has started mobilising funds for grain delivery payments to ensure sustainable rebuilding of grain reserves. Late payments for grain deliveries have of late been a major cause for concern to the farmers with fears the trend might increase influx of unscrupulous traders or buyers through side marketing of the commodity. Mozambique journalists in Zim

Journalists from Mozambique have hailed Zimbabwe’s unique tourist attractions, noting that the intensive marketing campaigns the country has embarked on must translate into increased arrivals from all over the world. The media practitioners are in the country as part of efforts by the Manicaland branch of the Zimbabwe Union of Journalists (ZUJ) to enhance relations between journalists from the two countries. Embrace new curriculum: Govt

The government has encouraged people to support the thrust of the new curriculum which promotes the learning of technical subjects and encourage students to chase their talents. This came out during a graduation ceremony of teachers trained in clothing design held in Harare yesterday (Saturday). There was consensus that every learner should be schemed according to his talent. Mberengwa district has held a youth games gala in preparation for the provincial games. It was a sports bonanza filled with fun and competition which culminated in the trophy presentation at the end of the day. Teams from Mberengwa district’s four constituencies took part in netball, soccer, volleyball and athletics. A career guidance expo was also held at the same occasion with guest of honour, Retired Lieutenant General Sibusiso Moyo, who is Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade calling on the young people to rise up as tomorrow’s professionals and national leaders.
